Describing the holstuonarmusigbigbandclub simply as a traditional Austrian folk music band would just be wrong. In the "Austrian traditional folk music scene", the instruments they are using would probably be classified as "ordinary", but the five musicians playing those instruments, are anything but ordinary! Instructed in the high art of traditional Austrian folk music from day one, the five musicians, each of them a real master in his field, are aiming to raise this traditional musical genre into new spheres via innovative and very creative means.
